We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee our month-end closing, financial reporting and budgeting and compliance processes, including preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, lead audit and tax compliance and providing information and insights to support strategic decisions. The role reports directly to the CFO and will grow into a Controller position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
· General Ledger Management: Lead the monthly financial review and closing process.
· Audit and Compliance: Coordinate the external financial audits, ensure GAAP compliance and maintain appropriate internal controls.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare of bi-annual financial forecasts and budget, analyze budget variances and provide suggestions.
· Tax Preparation: Coordinate income and sales tax returns preparation and ensure timely filing.
· Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support planning.
· Team Leadership: Provide guidance and development to other finance staff members.
· Process Improvement: Identify process improvements and provide solutions.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
· 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting, finance, or public accounting.
· Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Proficiency in ERP software, preferably with implementation or design experience, and Excel.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
· $80,000 – $95,000/year
