The Opportunity:
The Air2o HVAC Sales Engineer is responsible for driving the sale of Air2O solutions primarily through Manufacturer’s Representatives, Engineers and contractors. Partnering with local sales resources, the HVAC Sales Engineer builds effective relationships with Manufacturers Reps, Engineers, Contractors and Owners with the results being to identify, target, qualify, and sell Air2O solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Engineering support to educate and sell the benefits of Air2O solutions confidently to engineers, manufacturer reps, contractors and building owners while reaching optimal profit levels.
Demonstrates financial and business acumen to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment with customers.
Differentiate Air2O’s products, solutions and services from competitors based on business benefits and knowledge of competitor’s business strategies and offerings.
Managing the sales process – seeking out, targets and initiates contact with prospective customers.
Supports engineers in product selection/requirements/scope/specifications.
Conducts site and/or site visits, develops proposals, supports scope comparisons, negotiates pricing and closes orders.
Works with various internal and external resources in order to quote prices, establish terms and conditions of contracts and prepare sales contracts.
Continually evaluates existing sales tools assessing their effectiveness along with the need for additional sales tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in environmental or mechanical engineering.
3-5 years of experience in HVAC product sales and lead generation.
Located in either Midwest or the Southeast region
Have strong technical knowledge of products and solutions with the ability to identify customer needs & recommend solutions.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task while remaining focused in high-pressure situations.
Experience in working with global teams a plus, but not required.
Must be resourceful and customer-focused
Strong presentation & negotiation skills.
Possess territory management experience with contacts and connections within target markets and channel partners.
Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a strong desire to make a tangible impact through the application of engineering principles to real-world problems.
